What's New

  • Fixed room/bed occupancy to count actual household members instead of families (a 3-person family in a 2-bed room used to show as "1/2").
  • Added admin-only soft delete + Bin for shelter sites, rooms, families, and repairs, with one-click restore.
  • Hardened the installer against overwriting an existing config.php.

Installing for the First Time

Setting this up for your NGO for the first time? Download the ZIP and upload/extract it to your server (XAMPP or cPanel hosting). Then open the folder in a browser — the web installer (setup wizard) starts automatically.

Upgrading an Existing Installation

  1. 1 Download the ZIP. It does not include config.php on purpose — keep your existing config.php (it has your real database credentials) untouched.
  2. 2 Upload the new files over your existing installation folder — merge/overwrite only. Don't delete the folder first and re-upload from scratch (that can wipe install/installed.lock along with it).
  3. 3 Log in as an admin and open the Dashboard — you'll see an "Update Available" notice.
  4. 4 Click "Apply Update" — it automatically backs up your database, then runs the new migrations.
